Makeup Lesson

(1-on-1)

This is a private two to three (2 - 3) hour makeup lesson where I will show you how to do a full face from start to finish. It is perfect for makeup novices, or for an individual who wants to improve their makeup skills, needs feedback on how to use products they already own, and recommendations on what to buy. During your lesson, I will show you how to do a full face from start to finish.

The lesson covers the following:

• Long-term skin care and treatment suggestions to address any skin concerns you may have (Great skin care is the secret to good makeup!)

• Prepping skin for makeup

• Perfecting skin with foundation and concealer

• Perfecting brows

• Proper use of makeup brushes and tools

• Proper application of powder, bronzers/contour, and blush

• Bringing out your eyes using eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara

• Proper application of lip liner and lipstick

• Product and technique recommendations based on your specific skin type and facial features

*Your first lesson also includes a gifted set of basic makeup brushes. Learning more advanced techniques, such as applying false lashes or learning how to create more dramatic eye looks such as a cut crease will be taught during a 2nd lesson. During your second lesson, 2 sets of standard false eyelashes, and 2 sets of luxe eyelashes, and eyelash glue will be gifted instead of makeup brushes.

I will demonstrate the techniques on one side of your face and will have you then repeat the techniques on the other side of your face while giving you feedback. We can focus on a particular technique such as a smoky-eye or winged liner. You are encouraged to provide a picture of a particular makeup look that you want to achieve, but we will only do one complete look. An audit of your makeup bag will be done to give you feedback on the products you already own. But to keep everything sanitary, we will use clean disinfected brushes and products from my professional makeup kit. You are encouraged to ask questions and take notes on the new techniques you will be learning. A complete list of the products and links on where to purchase will be send in a follow-up email within 72 hours after your lesson.

BONUS: When you’re practicing applying makeup after our 1-on-1 and have a question, or are in need of help or a critique, we can schedule a video chat (up to 10 minutes) to go over your look. In addition, if you ever have any quick makeup-related questions after your lesson, you can email me anytime to discuss!

Please notify during booking, if you would like to add any of the following to your lesson:

Luxe faux mink lashes — starting at ¥3000 (complimentary strip lashes are included for second lesson)

Glitter — starting at ¥1000

Jeweled accents — ¥1000 for 10 minutes of application

UV/Blacklight accent — ¥1000

After hour/early AM call times/appointments — +¥6000 each hour from 8PM through 3AM; ¥6000 early start fee for first hour from 4AM through 8AM, and ¥3000 per each additional hour until 9AM, including partial hours

Weekend and Holiday appointments—Require a ¥40000 minimum in services, plus travel

Travel fees

For each appointment, please add transportation cost. There is no additional travel fee for the first 30 minutes of travel from the makeup artist’s location before your scheduled appointment. For every additional 30 minutes of travel, add transportation cost, plus ¥2000 travel fee. For locations beyond a 5 minute walk from closest train station, client is responsible for taxi fees from train station to location, and back to closest station.
